My husband and I moved in one year ago and thought we were going to love it. We informed the office staff of our situation (work and school) and he assured us it was a quiet and friendly place. Boy, was he misleading us. Within a month of moving in, our neighbors that we share a bedroom wall with started turning the base up on their stereo so loud it was shaking the apartment. After personally asking them several times to turn it down, we had to call the courtesy officer. We spent many nights in our second bedroom due to the noise. It was a wasted bedroom. We dealt with the noise for 9 solid months and being told there was nothing management could do except not renew their lease (which expired after ours). The noise never stopped.
After the courtesy officer sent a cop from his department over, we could hear the neighbors yelling about it like they were offended because they were asked to turn the noise down. From that point on, we did not feel safe due to their violent outbursts becuase they were asked to respect their surroundings.
From the same apartment building, there were mnay cars coming and going throughout the day. People would make 5 minute stops and leave their car running. They were OBVIOUSLY dealing drugs.
Aside from not feeling safe, there was no insulation in the apartment and the windows were so old you could feel air blowing through them. This led to outrageous power bills! On average, our power bill was $150 for a 1200 sq. ft. apartment. It reached $220 in August.
The "remodeling" insisted of covering all of the old things up (wallpaper, floors, countertops) with pieces of new stuff or paint. Do not be fooled by the appearance of the model apartment or by the salesmanship of the office staff. IT IS AN AWFUL PLACE TO LIVE!

I would like to think we have done a fantastic job with spending approximately $9,000.00 per apartment. Including the full replacement of all appliances, cabinets, countertops, light fixtures, hardware, blinds and flooring in kitchen, bathroom, entry and sunroom if optional. We have not covered up anything. Everything has been replaced. Power bills are typically higher during the summer months especially with vaulted ceilings and living on the top floor. We have continously improved the property with just recently finishing a full renovation of the swimming, jacuzzi and kid pool with all new marcite. We have also just added multiple new pieces of fitness equipment as resquested by the using residents. We have also completed a full renovation at the tennis courts installing a new perimeter fence, new net and resurfacing the entire court. I assure you that with the amount of money being invested we only want the best of the best living here. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you.
Sincerely,
Kent Smith

First of all, I do not need your phone number considering you called within 30 minutes after my first post. To clarify that phone call, yes, it was an awful experience and we did hate living there. You and your staff had ample opportunity to help solve the problems we were experiencing. Unfortunately, there is nothing else to be done considering the fact we have moved out prior to the end of our lease. Yet, we are still paying. The only lights we had in my apartment were in the dining area and bathrooms. We had to use lamps in all other rooms, another thing we looked over when viewing the model apartment. Replacing the blinds was a wonderful idea considering the windows were covered in what looked like mold. This was something we inquired about and were told the windows were being replaced. The sunroom could hardly be called a sunroom because of the gunk between the windows. The bathrooms were most certainly painted over wallpaper. This is why the walls would be peeling away. So, yes, the bathrooms were certainly covered. I am completely aware that power bills are typically higher in the summer and with a vaulted ceiling. However, I know people with twice the floor space AND vaulted ceilings who paid comparable rates to ours. A renovation of the swimming pool and jacuzzi does no good when there are children running all around it and no parental supervision. As for the new fitness equipment, I sincerely hope it was not laid in the puddles of water that were sometimes standing in the fitness room. You want the appearance of the best, but that can never be achieved until you actually care about the residents.
