As newlyweds my Husband and I began renting a 2 bedroom apartment from Berkshires in September of 08. The property is beautiful and we were more than happy to see the newly renovated units and new appliances. The space was smaller than we wanted, but was somewhat secluded and had a screened porch, so we settled. Needless to say, after only 4 months, I would NOT recommend Berkshires on Nesbit Ferry for any longer than a short term period, and most certainly for no longer than 6 months. From day one we have been struggling to have maintenance issues resolved and I have called and submitted multiple requests for the same issue since day one and the problem has NEVER been fixed! This and other problems I have had are and have not been small problems either. For instance, the problem that we have had since the beginning which is still not fixed is a broken toilet!!! I mean, are you serious!' We have a 2 bed, 2 bath and each use a bathroom to get ready in the morning as well as when our family visits and we have never been able to use more than one toilet. The broken is even in the master bedroom! This is more than unexceptable and I have called and called and went into the office and filed complaints and we are still left to pay rent although it is broken and un usable. The workers even came to begin fixing it and left it unhooked and un attached from the floor and did not return to fix it making this a BIG hazard to us everyone morning as we try to not touch it when entering the shower to avoid injury etc. Also, we have had problems with bugs, irritating paint thinner smell from the apartment renovation beside us, a broken window, poor insulation, and mold. I would settle with this place due to low rent until we can move out in August FINALLY but this is far beyond excuseable to have a broken toilet go unacknowledged. Again, my advice... be cautious! This is a loud development with many children, and most importantly you will become discouraged with management and maintenance within 3 months guaranteed. I pray our issues can be resolved as they have not to this point yet I am still paying.

In all honesty, I would highly advise you otherwise. There are much better apartments in the Alpharetta/Atlanta area which would be much better suited for you and your mother, and which are far clearer and much safer. We have noticed a major downturn in this property throughout our lease here and can not express our excitement of moving out next month! It has become far too noisy and the children of the area literally run wild to the point where it's a major safety issue. Plus, a Target and large shopping center were just built beside the complex adding to the traffic and noice of the area. That aside, it may be a good bang for your buck initially, but to save you the frustration from maintenance and the staff, as I said, I highly recommend shopping around and avoiding this property at all cost. Thank you for your advise. I'm going to shope around, my problem is that I don't live in GA, I'm out of state, for that I was thinking to ask more question before I'll chose a place.. Thank you for your advise
