I once thought it was only used car lots where one ought keep one's wits about them, but I was wrong. Welcome to Chelsea Ridge, the land of highly trained corporate thieves. I completely agree with the response to the 2/15/08 review. Don't be distracted by the warm smile at your first arrival, and don't believe a spoken word you hear. The helpful salesperson you met at move in, will be moved to another facility soon and you will be left dealing with the current heartless, robotic, bureaucratic, unethical, "how-to-drag-most-money-out-of-every-renter" management. And don't take my word for it, just read the fine print of the contract which essentially says "no oral promises of the staff supersede this contract, and if it's not in writing it does not count." And don't believe any advertisement you see about prices. Oh, you want water, sewer and garbage removal' That's extra. But despite 3 repeat requests I never received the promised garbage container. Oh, you don't have renter s insurance' You will have to buy some from us. Keys' Oh, that's extra too. We were in the area for short term work and signed a three month lease, for which we paid a premium extra fee, and everyone was entirely clear about this fixed 3 month lease period. However, when I went into the office to pay my final dues, 30 days before the end of the 90 day lease, they said we needed to have provided a 60 day written leaving notice on the 90 day lease and they would not let us leave! They were intent to stiff us for another month's rent. If we refused to pay, they threatened to report us to collections and credit reporting agencies. I would strongly advise against doing business with any of these Worthing owned apartments that scatter the area. I obviously agree with the other writer with a similar experience (see response to 2/15/08 review). This form of business practice is an embarrassment to all legitimate real estate agents and business owners.
Too, our air conditioning broke twice during this short lease. Walls are thin. When neighbors were home or on the stairways, conversations could be followed. The entrance gate was broken most of the time, and the first time I found it closed, my card appeared not to work.
