I moved here site unseen about a year ago. Since I was moving from out of state I was very nervous about what I would be walking into. However, from the moment I drove onto the property I was very impressed. Everything from the grounds to the office staff is wonderful. The staff has been very helpful and understanding. When ever I have a problem in my apartment someone is sent out to take care of usually the same day.
I am going to guess that the negative comments for Collignwood were made by people who have an axe to grind for some reason. Maybe...just maybe these individuals should handle things in a mature grwon up way and not expect the staff to kiss thier a**. Just becuase you pay rent doesnt mean you own the place.
I highly recommend Collignwood to anyone who is looking for a queit, peaceful and friendly place to call home!

Hello..I am moving to Atlanta in August, and looking for a nice complex to live in, I am a little scared because of the postings I've been reading everywhere. I am coming from New york, and judging by the ratings, it seems ATL is no better than NYC. Can someone help. Collingwoods look nice! is it ok to live here? I am coming from another state alone with a 5 year old.

I lived there for two years 2003-2005 and I liked the apartments. Until management changed after a little over a year of living there, after that, I walked into the office and felt like the enemy. I put in my notice and was immediately given a fine for moving out too soon so I told them I would write another notice to move out later but they still charged me. I never gave any reason to be treated the way I did, and I never had any problems with my apartment. My last day there, they told me to put my key in the dropbox in an envelope with my apt# on it and I did but then they charged me $50 for not returning their key. I asked them to check the drop box but they were very rude and said they never got it. That's $50 I had to pay for them losing my key not to mention the extra month's rent for me writing the wrong date. The apartments are nice, but the management, if it's still those women, sucks.

I agree!!!I lived there for 3 yrs and never had a problem until they changed management. The new office women are rude and very quick to assign blame when confronted with problems. I had ordered college graduation invitations that were never delivered to my mailbox...when I asked about it, they said they never got them. After tracking the order through the internet, I found that one of the apartment managers had signed for them and never contacted me. They were sitting on a shelf in a closet for over 2 months. She never even apologized! I spent $100 on invitations that I didn't get until after I graduated. When I became upset I was treated as the enemy and told it was not their problem. Overall the apartments are not worth the high rent!!You can keep looking and find a comparable apartment for 200/month cheaper. They also have insane rent increases from year to year.....I moved in 2003 at 695/month and when I moved out in 2006 they wanted 950!!!!
