I've lived here several months and am ready to move.
Something is constantly broken. The most recent was the water main break. The office staff made a point to tell us it was a city problem, yet a privately contracted plumber came out to fix the problem. Shouldn't the city have sent a city crew to fix it' We were without water two days in a row.
My airconditioner has broken twice now, both times during very hot spells. I'm on the third floor, afternoon sun coming in full force, and the second time it was "fixed" the maintenance man had the nerve to tell me it had to run a while to start working again. Hello'! It had been running all afternoon since he "fixed" it, and was blowing out warm air. I have two young toddlers, and it was 95 degrees in my apartment.
Maintenance requests that I filled out on my move-in check list STILL have not been fixed. (We have a water spot in one bathroom caused by a roof leak, and as of today, it's growing mold...)
The rent drop box was vandalized several months ago and as a result of this, I had to stop payment on my rent check. $30 fee, and was I reimbursed for it as originally told I would be' NO.
There's one large trash compactor in the front of the complex for the residents to use (as opposed to dumpsters between each building) and as a result of this, we have to take our nasty kitchen trash and drive it there. In the mornings, people park there to wait with their kids for the bus, and if you're running late, forget it because you won't get out and get to work on time. You have to wait for the bus to come and the parents to drive home. I've yet to see management send out a notice for this.
The best...OH the best is that I found out several days ago that I have a CONVICTED FELON living next door to me and my children. I paid $50 when I applied for the apartment, and this money was to go for administrative fee and background checks. Apparently they don't do them, as they're letting anyone and his brother move in here. This is unacceptable and I will NOT be renewing my lease.
The ONLY ONLY ONLY good thing about living here is that it is very quiet in my building. I'd gladly take a little noise, however, if it meant I could be comfortable in my surroundings.

The water main break reported in this review was the first of three over a three month period.
