I got a letter on my door too...not sure why you were the only one that didn't get one. Each of us is responsible for our own safety anyways. The reason the home invasion was in the news was because that kind of thing never happens in this town...ask the local PD, they will tell you. You can't blame the management for something beyond their control!

To the two who responded-The office posted letters days after it happened on our doors. Yes, there's crime everywhere, but tenants should be informed immediately! Not only to help increase awareness in the community, but from a good customer service stand point as well. Also the letter was vague and did not document what actually happened. I went to the Alpharetta Police website and found for our apartment complex and information regarding the incident. The tenant was tied up, while her roomate was assulted, further more the guy took things from their wallets, and other personal items. The letter received indicated that the tenant was in her apartment and when she answered her door the guy pushed is way in, stole some things, and left the tenant unharmed. Tied up and assaulted does not sound like unharmed to me. While I like where I live-don't be deceived. If you don't stay on top of the staff in that office, they will try to screw you slow with their laziness. So yes crime is every where, and it is beyond the staff's control, but because they work for us the "rent payers"; they owe us the duty of supplying accurate information about any crimes, and they could at least try to keep the gate in working condition-it does not stop the "crazies"from coming in, but it is a deterent Or maybe you're the ones hitting all the time.
