Hello,
I am relocating to Atlanta soon. Currently I am in the process of searching a good apartment complex for me and my family. My focal point in the apartment search is good schooling for my children who go to elementary school. I am searching for a 3 bedroom single level apartment or townhome in an apartment complex which is safe, with decent amenities, bug free, good maintenance, no hidden fees, etc. This place is among my top choice. However, with such disparate views from the residents of this apartment community I am really confused. I seek feedback from my would-be fellow neighbors. Please advice whether I should rent an apartment here'
Cheers!!

Hi. I'm the person that posted the 4/16/08 review. I recently signed on for another year which will mark my fourth lease term. One of the main reasons I have stayed so long is because of the quiet neighborhood (and neighbors), superb location (I work just 3 miles away), good insulation for both weather and sound (for an apartment), and probably my favorite, a garage (most units do not have them). That said, on to your questions: just like any dwelling, you will not have a bug problem if you keep your unit clean, which is crucial if you have a unit in an outer perimeter building that faces woods like mine. You questioned schooling. I cannot answer that because I do not have kids. You really need to research that, but suffice it to say that Atlanta area public schools are not very high up on the national scale of good public schools - and that's being nice. Regarding safety, no metro Atlanta place is 100% safe, but this complex has an above average safety record for police reports compared to other complexes in the greater general region. Oh, and management has done a very good job of keeping the access gates working at all times since my post last year (keep in mind anyone can walk in just about any complex if they wanted to or drive in behind someone at the gate). Regarding amenities, what are you looking for? Please be more specific. The maintenance staff as I stated are outstanding and very friendly. There are no hidden fees I'm aware of other than the usual pet fees. Your deposit depends on your credit. If you have fair to poor credit, be prepared to pay up to a month's rent up front for a deposit on top of your first month's rent. Hopefully this helps you, but nobody can make the ultimate decision except yourself, and I would highly recommend visiting the complex and specifically a unit similar to if not *the* unit you would be leasing. Good luck!
