New Tenant

I am a new Tenant, I am a bit concerned. After reading all of the reviews, I am really concerned. We have roaches as well as spiders. When I moved in I was really excited, the staff was great!!! I didn't really have any issues. Martha was fine and I apologize I don't remember her name, I believe it was Judy.
In any instance, when I originally applied, I was told the apartment would be $740, but not a day later, she said the rent would be $855, because the manager stated prices needed to go up. Well a person that I referred, received that rent amount. How disappointing.
Next the water bill is exurbant, its running around $56/70 a month. I actually asked about the bills prior to making my final decision to move in, and I was told, they would not be high. The light bill, which they have NO control over, is running a pretty amount as well, and I work two jobs, so I know its not from me using the electricity in itself.
Lastly, I am disappionted, because of the roaches (people not being clean is not their fault) but the festation is killing myself and my family. EVERY DAY we are KILLING nine or ten ROACHES daily.
I emailed my office, and to no-avial, no one has even taken the time to call me and apologize or offer and explanation on:
1) The Rent Hike for a month
2) The water bill
3) The roaches
I even referred a few people, and I still haven't received my referral money. I am really disappointed with the move. The staff is fine and the greatest asset is location.
I would really stay, if management would offer assistance or even a phone call.
I would RECOMMEND the apartment to someone on the premises of location.
