I have lived at Stoneleigh almost 2 years now. When I moved in I made it perfectly clear that management was not to enter my apt. without my knowledge or consent. No problem whatsoever until new management took over. I called Terri (the new resident manager) yesterday to request work on my sliding screen on my patio. I specifically told her that I did not want maintenance to enter without my being there. She said no problem, that maintenance could meet me there the following day (today) when I would be there on my lunch hour-1:15 to 2:15. At 2pm I called the office, no answer, I called twice more and no answer. At 5:00 I called on my way home and Terri answered. She stated that she thought that maintenance had entered at 3pm and fixed the problem. I reminded her that she had said he would meet me there, as not to enter when I wasn't home. She asked that I hold while she rang the guy. She put me on hold and never came back! I called her back, she said he had entered and that he didn't know he wasn't supposed to. I stated that she had written up the work order and that we had specifically discussed that I would be there for him to come in. I asked if she would like a stranger coming into her house when she wasn't home - she ignored this and asked if I was aware that the property had been sold. I asked if that meant service was going to be this poor from now on. The woman started literally screaming at me!!--at which point I hung up. I called back 3 times, and no one answered! The fourth time, I got the answering machine. Like I said, I have lived here for almost two years, happily, but Ms. Terri has guaranteed that this resident, who has never once been late with rent and who has a statement in her file that no one is to enter when I am not home, will be moving ASAP. I pay this kind of money for strangers to enter my home and be yelled at by a resident manager' I think not, and the new owners need to hire a professional, not a liability, who realizes this isn't public housing and no one screams at the residents. (p.s. The first time I tried to slide the screen that was supposedly fixed, it fell off track.)
