I have been here since Jan 2003, and moving from a college apt, it has been wonderful! But let me tell you why. First of all I had no deposit, well $74, but 1/2 of that I can get back if its kept ok. ONLY MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT IF...you work off of Windward Parkway, cause chances are they have your company as a preferred company so you get a special rate, plenty lower than the market and a No deposit or No application fee.

The apartment is spacious, 980 square ft for a 1bed/1bath. I have the upstairs unit, where we get a fireplace, but compared to a middle floor or terrace level, the space is much larger without the fireplace, I can't really put a full living room set w/ my fireplace in tact. The bedroom does not have any light, which bothers me a lot, so I had to buy a lamp. The kitchen cabinets are very spacious and I like the white cabinets. Even thouugh I am short, very many people love thsi apartment because the appliances, showerheads, cabinets and sinks are built at a higher level (for taller people). Mine came with a washer and dryer (no renting or extra charge). I asked for it. As far as noise, I'm on the top and i seriously here NO ONE! Sometimes i hear my adjacent bathroom wall neighbor, but only during the day and its very quiet. My neighbors are absolutely wonderful, sweet and have a very "southern hospitality". Lucky I guess.
The pools are beautiful, but there are lots of kids around the summer. The rec room is nice and mgmt does plenty of events for its tenants such as pool parties, free continental breakfasts every Saturday, weekly kids cookie days, free tennis lessons, tanning beds, some group fitness workouts are ok..they used to have happy hour every month as well w/ free drinks, although i think they are getting away from that. Still, they have plenty of social activities.

CONS' Yes, like I said the "no light" in the bedroom. The shower heat does not last long. Contrary to another review, my oval garden tub (its a shower/tub combo) can be filled entirely with hot water, but if you want to shower after that, expect no hot hot water. Parking where my building is HORRIBLE, but since my rent was so cheap, I have a garage that I pay an extra 80 bucks for, and wow has it been worth it. (people have actually begged me to give it up). I am a young, urban professional and I do wish there were more singles that we can party with on the weekends. This apartment is very family oriented, with kids and dogs...I do see dog piles everywhere, but it's not so bad at the building I am at. The rec room does not have great weight machines, but useful ones if you are using them right.
The worst part' The lease..you better not plan on breaking it and you better plan on staying the entire time...I have a great price for my apartment for this expensive Alpharetta location, however they really lock you in. If you get a get a good rate like i did and you have to break your lease, you have to repay your difference for every month you lived there, plus cost of breaking the lease. The past review was right, about $2500....yup, that sucks...what you need to do is sign up for as long as you are sure and put your 60 days in at the 2nd to the last month. AND DO NOT PAY LATE, they will charge off the hook if you are late!

If you move here, know that you better stay the entire lease that you sign. Attend the social events and be picky about your room and building because of the parking. I do recommend this apartment, but know what you are looking for.
