Not Bad but not great

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
I have lived here since the start of the year. The apartments look very nice. Lots of room and spacious closets which was what we are looking for. We moved down by the swamp which the previous comment alarms me but I have yet to see a snake. At the beginning the parking was ok. But within a couple of months several people had moved in and good parking became rare. part of the problem is that each building has 2 handicapped parking spaces. Its nice but far too unneccesary. Only one person in the rear end of the complex has handicapped tags and half the time they park in another space. People do park illegally in handicapped spaces here but that usually happens because either you can park in the handicapped space by the pool or the one by your building. And do not get me started about the playground area. OK previous comment complained about the playground being opne and no sidewalks... well that has changed. Now, the gates went up and they looked nice. Suddenly 2 weeks ago they decide to put a speedbump along the main drive to slow people down. Fine have no problem with that. But the put 4... count them 4 speed bumps in the span of 15 feet. 2 would have been sufficient but those are rediculous.
Pets are a major problem. Dog crap is everywhere. You cannot enjoy your porch because the smell of crap wafts onto it. There have been some rowdies about which prompted the community to move in some of its agents down into the building on the end to monitor the situation.
The rules here are strange, even from other Worthing Properties. The only one rent check per apartment is a pain when most apartments are rented by roommates or unmarried couples. Also, only the lease holder can complain. We had a roommate that had an issue with the keycard. He took it in and was told rather rudely that he could not get service because he is not on the lease. Not that he was living there illegally. He was listed as a roommate on the lease, but was not the lease holder. It would have taken the representative 2 minutes to adjust the keycard on the computer and nothing else would have been said. I don't have many complaints about the apartment itself. Except that the walls are poor quality.. anything rough brushes against them and you have a gouge mark. If I had to do it over again I probably would not move here. Its convenient to my work but I would be happier somewhere else.
