Most other complaints on this site seem to have basis in fact. Although, I've percieved none of them as a reason to move.
The benefits of this complex has been the location, the space / floorplan, and my wonderful quiet neighbors. I like silence, and this is the quietest apartment complex I ever lived in or visited for that matter.
For the space and the location, I can't complain about the rent. With it you get brand new applicances in the kitchen, a washer and dryer, and new water heater and HVAC. Big picture windows.
The kitchen is fantastic, better than I've ever seen or used in an apartment. Excellent lighting and layout. I love to cook, and here there is plenty of room to do it.
My utilities have been miniscule. Under 40 per month for electic and water all year. (Granted I do 68 in the winter and 78 in the summer and wash clothes in cold...)
They did finally get rid of the ant swarms that plauged me early this year. It took a while, but now seem to be doing all the right things to control pests.
On the downside...
The area is surrounded by new developement, lots of construction noise starting 7AM and all Saturday. Still not impressed by maintenance staff - quick to respond, but have needed multiple trips to get things right. Office staff has turned over many times, I recognize none of the faces. Requests for the "perks", such as accent wall program do not get done unless you hound them.
There are no outside storage closets, and patios are not covered.
They decided to install a security gate. We've been quiet and safe without the hassle before, don't see the point of adding the bother of a stupid gate.
Overall -
Rent seems resonable for location and space. I've been looking around and really can't save any money by moving. They've made a lot of improvements recently, so amenties are comparable to other nearby complexes. Neighborhood has been safe and quiet. Aimco provides a website to report non-emergency service requests, it does seem to work.
I'll be staying here until rent is unreasonable, or I find a townhome of my dreams.

I find this review funny as I'll be moving in next month and was told that the property does not charge water.
