Abbey West just is not up to par with what they advertise. The furniture sucks. And on top of that the furniture didn't even match. I think they go out and find the crappiest furniture they can find and charge us college students an arm and a leg to live there. I made the mistake to live their again my second year. The gates are always broken, after a while I think most of us would have liked it better when they didn't have gates at all. It was a HUGE hassle to have friends come over because if you did not have a 706 number you were basically screwed. You'd have to drive to the front to let them in. They need a better method to let people in. Another thing that I felt bothered me was the fact that the staff came in and out of our apartment without any of us knowing. I would have at least liked a notice of some sort. There was absolutely nothing I liked about Abbey West, every day I would find something wrong with my apartment and it would take the maintenance crew a few days to show up, that s only if you call them countless times. They got new management this year so it might be different next year but, I think it probably wouldn t make any difference what so ever. My advice is to live some place else where you have real carpet, a real desk you can WRITE on, furniture that match and various other things you can get some place better. I m so happy I did not sign another lease with them. Oh and there have been many times where there have been robberies. My roommate had his car broken into not to long ago and all that Abbey West said was 'But the gates were closed!' So much for the gated community LOL!

Abbey West is way above par. Our staff shows the bedroom furniture that we offer in our model apartment before you sign a lease, we apologize you were not happy with it. The gates are broken due to the residents and their guests treating them improperly. We go through numerous gate arms to uphold the "gated community" look. However, if someone wants in, they will come in. Guests can call the front office, or answering service after hours in order to get into the gate. The guest box explains this on the display screen. Our staff NEVER comes in without a notice, unless a resident files a work order that states that we may enter to repair their issue. Our work orders are completed within 24hrs, unless a part is needed, and at that point the problem is fixed asap.

Don't beleive anything these "abbeywest" people tell you. They are liars and are kids.
