This place is completely overpriced. Here is a short list of problems ive had, and i cant move out til next semester! I can't wait for my lease to be over!
1. A guy was murdered in my building. Everyone was blocked from going home all night because of a crime scene.
2. My friend's car was broken into.
3. I just found out they want to charge me a lot more if I sign another lease.
4. The gates are always broken. They are either left open or you can't get in at all.
My friends get stuck there every time and I have to walk out to let them in.
5. Parking is rediculous. You can never park in front of your apartment, so have fun walking around in the dark.
6. You can't sleep here! The noise from the stores and the dumpsters getting cleaned starts at about 6 a.m.

Look somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so first of all I heard that ???murder??? was a domestic thing, that sort of thing can happen anywhere. Secondly, Beechwood is far from ghetto, and cars get broken into every day on campus (would you call UGA ghetto?). I have lived here for a year and as far as I know the gates have been broken twice (and probably from drunk undergrads hitting it with their oversized vehicles). I have never had a problem with letting people in, the directions are right on the call box! As for parking I have not had a problem with it, as I live in another building on the other side of the property, and therefore don???t hear the dumpsters either.

No the murder did happen. They told me about it when i moved in, and I lived there fore 2 years, never had a problem with the gates being CLOSED. they were almost ALWAYS broken and open. And its true you can never park near your house if you get home past 9 pm. As for the dumpsters, its only a problem for the side facing the retirement home or the gym, or the post office.. Basically out of 5 buildings, only 1 doesnt sit right next to a place that has a loud dumpster that operates early in the morning. I eventually got used to it and slept through it but man some friday mornings did suck.
