I can't believe this place is not at full capacity. These are actually pretty nice apartments. I have been here since April 2004 and am very pleased. It is actually pretty quiet. There is a pool and weight room. The pool is good but the weight room needs better equipment. The complex is convenient to Super Wal Mart 1/2 mile away, lots of churches, restaurants, grocery stores, a movie theater (2.5 miles), county parks (1-2 miles) and UGA 4 miles. My electric bill runs about $50-80/month. Cable/Internet is between $40-70/month. Water bill runs about $30/month. Keep in mind this is with 2 people in the apartment. Oh, and the $610 for rent includes $15/month for a washer and dryer in the unit. The maintenance people are good and the pest control company comes by every month and sprays. Overall, I would recommend Brighton Park by far over many of the other heavily student populated (and loud) complexes in Athens.

Brighton Park is old and run down. I made the mistake of signing a lease before checking into more apartments in Athens. Afterwards, I later find out that it is one of the older apartment complexes in the city. The environment, however is not so bad. Lots of families live in the complex. So if you don't mind sharing the pool with 20 screaming and spalshing 2 year olds you'll have a great summer. Also, there is a huge pest problem. HUGE waterbugs that look and remind me of roaches. My personal experience was not a good one.

Actually, Brighton Park was built in 1997, so it is not "...one of the older apartment complexes in the city." I also I had a bug problem one month, and I contacted the office with the complaint. Within a day, Pest Control did an extra spray, and everything was great!
