Here are my complaints about the apartment after living here 1 year:

* the walls are THIN. Prepare to hear and be heard by all of your wall-neighboors.
* DUSTY - The whole apartment seemed to stay dirty no matter what you did
* The range/oven was OLD and neeeded to be replaced.
* The air-conditioner quit working twice while I was there, but maintenance fixed it quickly after I called them

My one big complaint, however, is the apartment manager who took $400 out of my deposit for 'repairs.' I've lived in three other apartments in Athens, one of which for 2 years, and have been charged MAX $150 for repairs. I lived here for one year, had maybe 2 apparent damages done to the apartment, and somehow was charged $400. And when I asked for a list of the damages I had supposedly done to the apartment, I was sent another summary letter basically saying "You owe $400." They can't even send me a list saying what the money is for.

My second complaint: I gave them written notice with my rent saying that I was moving out in 90 days. (By the way -- YOU HAVE TO NOTIFY THEM WITHIN 90 DAYS TO SAY YOU ARE MOVING OUT. Most places have a 60 day policy, but 90 days is ridiculous) But because I didn't pay my rent until the 5th of the month, they tacked on 6 extra days to my lease. And put it at the market rate. So for 6 days, that I wasn't even living at the apartment, I paid something like $150.

I know they just did a major renovation on the outside of the apartments here, and I know they're hurting for money. They sent us out a letter at some point while I was living there asking people to pay their rent early if possible, because they didn't have enough money in their account to cover their bills. So, I guess, it makes sense to them to essentially steal the money from their residents that are moving out.

Oh I also forgot somebody stole our clothes out of the dryer when we left them overnight one night. I don't know for sure, but can only conclude it was the office manager stealing them to sell them re: accounts payable. Don't move here.

First of all, what idiot would leave their clothes in a community laundry facility over night? If you do something stupid like that..you deserve to have your clothes stolen. Second, if you don't clean your apartment..its going to get dirty. Cleaning your apartment is your responsability..not the property managers.

Ok dippy, you live in an apartment...the walls are ALWAYS going to be thin unless you are in some luxury condo that costs about $1200 a month for rent. Ummm I think you pay $550 or so right? What do you want? You are a pathetic whiner! People like you are so annoying! Also do you suffer from down syndrome? Why would you leave you clothes in the laundry room overnight? Oh yeah and I am sure it was the staff stealing your nasty clothes....get real idiot. I think you need to go back home to live with mommy and daddy since you can't handle the real world. These apartments are just like any other in Athens. There is nothing wrong with them, they are not perfect, perfect apartments for $550 do not exisit! Also, do you REALLY think your apartment is dirty because of the management? Are you insane? Get off you fat a** and dust your crap! I'm sure that maid services were not offered in the leasing agreement. You are a barn! Grow up baby.

I agree with this review 100%. You can vacuum everyday, and never get rid of the amount of dust in these apartments. I've never seen anything like it before. Also, it's very obvious that the office staff are the ones posting these comments and some of the reviews.
