thoughts after a few months

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I've been living in a 1 BR apt at Cambridge for a few months now. I have to say that I haven't had any problems with the management. Yes, these apartments are old but are in pretty good condition on the inside (at least mine is). The appliances are old too but mine seem to work fine.
Some dislikes include: pet rent, loud air conditioner (it's hard to hear the tv when the air comes on), floors creak when you walk in some areas, some residents are lazy and throw trash (and household items such as old furniture and clothes) on the ground, cops have to kick people out of the pool who don't live here, & cat owners let their cats wander around outside (some may be feral but I've seen some with collars on so they belong to someone). Also, being that the appliances are old, they are not energy efficient.
I would like to see some recycling bins in the complex but based on what I've seen I doubt most residents would use them.
I mainly chose to live at Cambridge because dogs are allowed and it's in a good location (within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, banks, etc. and only about 2 miles to campus & downtown). So, I am willing to overlook some of the imperfections for these reasons. Depending on what your expectations are, you may like it and you may not.
