Chateau Club is extremely cheap. However, the building is incredably old. Anywhere that you could think that needs to be re-caulked...needs to be. I can't adjust the air vents in my room or use one of the outlets because they have been paintd over soo many times. If you don't keep the air on at all times the apartment starts to smell musty. The stairwells smell awful. I had very mild ashma before I moved in and it flaired up and is awful. The key sticks...a lot...as does the mailbox key. The carpet looks as thought it needed to be replaced years ago. I have 10 minutes of hot water if I'm lucky. Our stove didn't work when I first moved in and I called them and now the burners and the oven work better...but not great. The "tile" in the bathroom and kitchen is peeling up around the edges. I have a brand new computer and I have to restart it if I stop using the internet for a few hours and come back if I want cable again. The lighting is poor. There is no overhead light in the living room. We've asked several times about when they are going to repave the stairs outside (they are crumbling and need serious maintence)...they have yet to do so. The laundry rooms scare me as does the pool and tennis court. Our air is extremely tempermental. Its always too cold in one room and too hot in the other and the thermometer is never correct.
However, the staff has always been fairly nice. Its extremely convienent to the loop, walmart, target, the mall, ect. It is on a busline. While the apartments seem pretty shady (I wouldn't walk around after dark and I always keep by doors double bolted), nothing has ever happened. There is ample parking. No one happens to live above me so noise isn't a factor. The pet fee is comperable to other apartment complexes ($200 per pet non refundable). The rooms are pretty big. The kitchen is a little small, but the large dining area and living room make up for it. The closets are a little small, but all ina ll it is a decent size for your money.

All of the tile has been replaced in the apartments. Everything is recaulked when it is rented. We have pest control once a week. All the appliances are new in the kitchen. Also the thermostates and vents are new.
