I've lived here almost 6 years and that's only because It's close to my job. First, I wanna start off by saying yes the outside building have been updated FINALLY. With that said here's my issues with the complex.
1. The man looking chick that works in the office has to be the rudest employee in there. She seems to think that shes doing you a favor by answering your questions.
2. The rent is getting beyond ridiculous. Not only that but it will apparently keep going up every year. Yet and still I cant figure out what I'm paying more for.
3.The laundry facility is something out of a ganster movie with gang symbols spray painted everywhere. And the dryers work 90% of the time. And you dont get a refund for the staff not maintaing them.
4.Although there were alot of evictions to get some of the bad tenants out and believe me there were many. All the fighting in the street and yelling matches at all times of night have slowed down considerably. the noise level is stil bad though. Adults running around inside the buildings like kids. I even had a couple of them smoking pot on the steps right outside my door once.
5.The roaches have just taken over. I am an obsessively clean person so imagine how I feel about roaches in my apartment. In the entire time I've been here I've have pest control in my apartment once.
6. Not that I would use it, but we have a pool here that hasnt been opened in a few years since the last management company we were using.
The thing that really gets me is that Laurel Ridge(formely Sussex, right across the street) is owned by the same company but are cheaper and cleaner. what's up with that'
Truthfully speaking I miss the Management company that was here when i first got here, it was peaceful all the time instead of sometimes and it was affordable. You felt like they cared. I plan on moving this year though enough is enough.
