College Park

 

I moved into a 4 bedroom apartment with 2 other girls, and we got another roommate we didn't know.

The carpets had been cleaned well which was nice.

However I soon discovered that we had giant cockroaches apparently living behind our bathroom sink that liked to come out and crawl around my room.

They have a man who sprays for bugs, but it didn't get rid of the problem completely.

We also occasionally had wasps crawl in through the air vents.

The walls are paper thin - I could hear my roommate every morning getting for school and every word of her phone conversations.

You could also hear the living room TV from your room.

Also my window was a piece of crap, every time it rained water would leak in and drip all night.

The complex is often loud on the weekends and, guess what, you can hear it as if it was right next to you.

The bed they provided was old and falling apart and the mattress was stained.

The carpet is old and the "clean" feeling wears off quick.

The apartment was incredibly dusty, you'd have to dust at least twice a week to keep it clean.

The kitchen is ridiculously small for four people.

The AC/heat system sucks, it would be freezing even with the heat on because of poor insulation.

The furniture is old and ugly.

And it was often hard to find a close parking spot close to your apartment, and there were no gates so very little security.

Overall this is a low-quality apartment complex, which is sad b/c it's owned by UGA.

The office staff was relatively friendly and helpful, and the busline is very convenient.

Also the maintenance staff was very prompt.

If you live here I would recommend living on the 3rd floor (we were on ground floor).

But you could pay a little bit more and get a way nicer apartment.
