I've lived at the University Commons in Athens for a semester now, and I say the place is pretty bad. It has some benefits, but not many.

-The staff is really nice, though they will CHARGE your ass for littering, etc.

-The apartment walls are really thick, which seriously cuts down on the noise.

- The pool SUCKS, the hot-tub barely works, and the pool tables are the worst I've seen in a long time.

-The computer lab is alright.

- There's a utility package. It's worth paying just to save the hassel of splitting four bills four ways.

- Near a grocery store, Waffle House (big bonus ^_^) and other amenaties, though a good 20 minutes from downtown; I should note that I'm used to living in a city.

- Room-mates are practically luck of the draw. Mine suck. Lots.

- Apartments LOOK like shite. Nasty exteriors, etc. The furniture is CRAP, but what do you expect for pre-furnashed'

- You can do as you damn well like. I smoke a fair bit of pot, and no-one has ever said anything. I've only seen one party broken up by the management, but it's a good thing that they stepped in.

- Hot water heater (in our apt., at least) works really well

- Most appliances suck. Microwave, dishwasher, washer/drier all suck. It'd probably be worth buying some of your own ----.

- Big closets, though there's virtually no storage anywhere else in the house.

- Porches are VERY small. A common outside area would be really nice.

- People are generally nice. There are a handful of drug dealers, but it's not like junkies are knocking on your neighbor's door at 3 am. It only gets noisy on weekends (and most Thursdays), there's pretty good parking.

- Difficult to meet neighbors- again, no good communal, common space.

That covers a lot of it. The busses are decent, the grounds aren't beautiful, and other little things.
Pricing: $450/month/resident, all utilities included. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
