Thank God, I just moved out of University Commons this May. Our carpet was disgusting (stained everywhere, thread bare), our appliances were old and didn't work, the power went out about every 2 seconds. The place was so moldy, dusty and disgusting when we moved in (they said they would clean it first and yup, they didn't) I had hives for weeks from allergies. There were cockroaches everywhere, even after the bug guy sprayed the apartment. They fined us out of nowhere for having our recycling on the porch. No matter how hard we cleaned the apartment, we could not make it look halfway nice due to the nasty carpet, walls, mold stains in bathroom, etc. Oh, and they never told us before we moved in that there would be construction going on right across from our apartment for the entire year, so we got to hear the lovely sound of bulldozers every morning bright and early. There were a lot of seriously sketchy people living around us that made me feel pretty unsafe at times. The bus (14) that came to the complex was completely unreliable and usually really overcrowded. Sometimes it just decided not to come at all! If you live here, you will really regret it. I don't recommend it at all.
