For a college student's first time looking for an apartment, I was thrilled when I found Lakeside. After only 6 months living at Lakeside, I have decided it is equatable to living in the worst dorm on any given campus.
The model I looked at was fantastic! Everything was in pristine condition, they answered all my questions, the staff seemed very helpful. After receiving my apartment key and parking pass, however, they pulled a 360 on me.
The apartment they had me move into was atrociously in disrepair. Cabinets were hanging off hinges, an eye of the stove wasn't working (we have been putting in work orders for this for 2 months before just giving up on it), ants were in every spot in the apartment, the washer used muddy water and the shower often spurts and sputters dirty water as well. There are holes everywhere in our apartment. It took maintenance 3 months to fix the light in our shower room. And the roaches that are in our shower are enough to make one skip showers for a week. We have found them everywhere! The tiling is cracked and has caused more than one hole in my socks. Thursdays nights, you have to go to bed around 9 to make sure you're asleep before the parties begin or you're up all night to the parties and, unless you're extremely lucky, your neighbors having sex next door. We constantly go over on utilities, even though we are down to the bare minimum in every aspect of our utilities, so the utilities being included deal really isn't that great.
Also, when you first move in, the staff claims they will work with you on roommate issues. When one arose in my apartment, their answer' "Move to another apartment in the complex for $200". Yeah...really helpful on that one. In fact, talking to the staff now is basically a waste of time! They say "I'll get right on it", but you better be thinking in terms of weeks, not hours or days. For example, we had been complaining to them about a sticking front door and lock, but it took my roommate breaking a key in the lock for them to actually get up and do anything about it!!
Another reviewer said that a brothel in Amsterdam woudl have better accommodations...sometimes I consider a cave with a mattress to be better. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

Here are my thoughts, your reply (from management) was not customer service friendly, I feel that you only replied to justify the complaint. Please, when I visit my daughter she has the same problems stated by the first complaint and when we call the office we are always told "we will take care of it" that day never comes. I will forward the string of responses to your management company.

Thank you so much for this review. I truly appreciate that this person took his/her time to provide people with helpful information. At first, I was delighted to see such a cheap and clean looking apartment, but now I will stay far away from this place. This review saved me from a disaster. I hope that God will bless this person with the next place to live.

For the past couple of years we have had a great pest control company Lodestar. We highly encourage all residets to call the office and request a work order if there is an issue with pest control. With any city water system if the city is doing work on a line it will cause some period of dirty water. There isn't anything we could have done to prevent that from happening. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have had.
