Just reading the other reviews, it sounds like Lakeside is the worst place in the world. I have been here a little over two months, and it is perfectly fine. No, it is not the most luxurious place in the world, but for college students, it is great. I would say this is definitely a young undergraduate apartment complex, and grad students would probably not fit it as well.

PROS:
-VERY close to campus
-reliable bus system during the day and at night (UGA night bus, Athens transit day, weekender comes to top of lakeside)
-Very pet friendly, no pet rent, just a fee
-Individual leases
-Open floor plan
-Bedrooms in very good shape upon move in
-Work Orders usually completed by next day or 2- maintenance very friendly
-Office staff have been very friendly and helpful to us
-Party friendly apartments
-Gym, pool and tanning bed
-24/7 computer room with printer


CONS:
-The kitchen and bathrooms were not very clean upon moving in
-There were some bugs at first but pest control will come every week
-Parking spots are very narrow (at least at my building) and parking can be a pain sometimes, but there is plenty for having people over and such
-Weekends can be loud with parties going on outside and stuff, but nothing unbearable

I am not sure if I will live in Lakeside again next year, but only because I may be looking for more room, and possibly a house with a fenced yard so my dog can go out without a leash. Please don't believe all of the other reviews, it is really not bad. No, nothing extraordinary, but perfectly fine. Also, no, your apartment will not look like the model apartment but that is the same at any apartment. You get what you pay for, I pay less than some of my friends with nicer places but I am not wealthy and this fit my budget well.

The way you write it sounds like you are advertising... Why? Unless you work at Lakeside you would not be doing this. This review is fake. To anyone reading, skip this one and read other reviews. Sounds to me like you haven't graduated high school yet. Why would grad students not fit in??? ROFL!! Makes no sense at all. Read the pro's of this apt complex: "party friendly"? What the hell does that mean? Hookers and cocaine? Who the hell talks like that about a place they live? HEY EVERYBODY IT HAS AN "OPEN FLOOR PLAN!!" Whichever employee wrote this needs to polish their lying skills!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Ok...wow. I DO live in Lakeside and I DO NOT work for them. email me at robin101@uga.edu and I will prove it to you. I am a Biology major at the top of my class so YES I have graduated from high school. What I meant by a younger undergraduate apartment was that it can be loud with parties at times which anyone who lives with will agree with, and usually as you progress in school that becomes less desirable. And by party friendly, I meant things like a lot of parking outside the buildings, dark colored carpet to mask stains, and NO, not all apartments have an open floor plan in which the kitchen and living room are not separated by a wall, making it ideal for entertaining. I'm sorry that my writing sounds like "Advertising" but those are my opinions of this apartment and it is rude of you to attack that. And another thing, if I worked for lakeside, WHY would I say anything negative about the place??? Please, email me and I will prove to you that NO I am not getting a discount and NO I DO NOT WORK FOR LAKESIDE! have any opinion you want but don't attack those of other people. if you read the other reviews you will find people who agree with me, so go make fun of those reviews too if it will make you feel better about yourself.
