I lived in Cross Creek for 1 year, and it was my first apartment experience. Here are my pros, cons, and other thoughts:

PROS:
1. Noise. It is very quiet in Cross Creek. Not many people live there, and it is a fair mix between students and families.
2. Office & maintenance staff. We had to have the maintenance called out several times because one of my roommates clogged the toilet with plastic flossing utensils (stupid, I know). They were very patient, very professional, and came out over and over again.
3. Location. Not too far from campus, and had a good amount of trees for shade.
4. Appliances. Never had any problems with appliances or washer & dryer.
5. Deck and basement. We had a sizeable deck, and a very large basement room. We were able to fit a ping-pong table, big chair, TV, and storage stuff in the basement and it still had plenty of room.
6. Value. Our rent was cheaper than other apartment complexes on the same road.

CONS:
1. Dining room was small and the linoleum was never properly installed (we didn't care that much, though).
2. There are big temperature differences between upstairs and downstairs, so know that it's gonna be much warmer upstairs than it is downstairs when choosing your rooms. This can affect your electric bill as well. But it's not a big issue, we just didn't plan well when we first moved in concerning our temperature preferences.
