I did not give the manager a 60 day written notice, so they are making me pay for an additional month. Thank goodness the apartment I am moving to allowed me to move my move in by a month.
I had an attorney look at my lease and High Ridge is legal.
I have talked to 6 different tenants, two thanked me for warning them about the move out notice, two new about it due to recent neighbors that moved out was caught by this policy, one actually said she was given notice by the management, and one poor guy leased an apartment for 90 days and is having to pay additional.
I would think that the management group would at least give you a notice, when your lease gets in the sixty day range, but it appears it is hit or miss and non existant for the most part.
The apartment has been OK, grounds kept good, some what quite for pets allowed, my apartment blows light bulbs every couple of months, and crazy move out conditions. They will charge you for everything, from requiring the carpet to be cleaned to the ceiling fans having dust on them.
It was OK until I had to deal with management on the move out.

That is true about charging you for everything. They do charge you for carpet cleaning even if the carpet is excellent with no stains and they also charge you a lot for "utility transfers." So while you may get some of your deposit back it won't be much.
