Renting in Laurel Oaks was the worst thing we could have chosen to do. The worst thing we lived with here was in our master bath. The shower in the apartment above ours was "rotten" so said the maintenance man and this caused our ceiling to mold and eventually rot away, resulting in a huge hole in our ceiling for the better part of 4 months. The repair man put a board up and said he wouldn't be able to fix the hole until we moved out. Disgraceful. We also had a multitude of other minor problems including bugs, a leaking hot water heater, a repair man that didn't know to put the pipe on the A/C to catch the water (thus there was a puddle of water from the living room to the kitchen for at least a month---this happened twice), the sewage piping was so filled up and old that black dirt (and who knows what else) once actually shot out of both of our toilets covering the bathrooms with in a thick black mess. One of the residents of our building had a tomato garden complete with duct tape and rebar used to make a "classy" fence. My car was broken into and the sterio almost stolen and they said, "Sorry. We can't help you." We had so many more problems you can't even imagine. Now after serving our 12 month sentence there and turning in our keys just 5 days ago, the manager calls and says we still owe them a month's rent. I guess she thinks they have 13 month leases'''' Don't even consider this place. Try Colonial Village at Timothy.
