When we moved in, our dishwasher did not clean our dishes at all. We told them immediately that we needed a new dishwasher. They tried to fix it about 4 or 5 times to no avail until they finally agreed to replace it, but they said it would take about a month to get a new one! So I called a month later to see where our new dishwasher was and the manager said that she had FORGOTTEN TO ORDER IT!!!
My toilet overflowed and would not stop spilling out water the night before an exam. I paged maintenance at least 10 times and never received a call. I finally had to call a plumber because the water would not stop running over and our carpet was now getting soaked. The plumber came and got the water to stop running and I paid the bill. When maintenance showed up the next morning, one of the men actually said "it says in your contract that you can't call outside contractors." I expected full reimbursement for the plumbing bill and did not receive it until I took them to small claims court, won the case, and deducted the amount from my rent.
The manager is unfriendly and unempathetic to any needs you might have. The walls in the apartment are very, very thin. You can hear everything your neighbors do. The pool is nasty as well as the area around it. I actually saw a woman put her naked baby in the pool once. Kids swim there without supervision and make the pool unenjoyable to everyone else. I would never recommend this apartment complex and I do not see how anybody would. It would not surprise me if the good ratings on the site were posted by employees of the complex, because no tenant would ever say it was a great place to live.
