I moved into the reserve in June of 03. When we moved in we had the same problem with the carpet turning our feet black and when we told the office we were told that it was because it had just been cleaned - that one still confuses me! Someone from the office came into our apartment while we were gone and left a key in the door. When i asked the office they again came up with a bad excuse and said that it wasnt theirs - even though it had our apt # and said The Reserve. I also had trouble with the office when I wanted to sublease this past year. They said that i had to pay all of these fees and I had to find the person and then the new person also had to pay fees. It was all a huge mess. I subleased from someone the year before and it was no problem and i found the person through the office, but they would not help me out in the same way. One other thing about the reserve you have to watch is how honest the staff is. They showed us the model and promised that our apt would be just like it. When we moved in two of the bedrooms were smaller, their was way different furniture (a purple chair and multi color couch and different table), and there were not any drawers in the bathrooms.
I do have to say that the reserve was pretty clean and looked nice. We never had a problem with roaches or bugs, but we lived on the third floor. The walls are thin, though, the guys below us liked to party, fight, and yell 24/7.
