I've lived in River Mill for 3 years and it was the best decision I could have made for living arrangements while in college at UGA. Yes, River Mill apartments are old and things break often but the office and maintenance staff are very friendly and extremely helpful whenever you need assistance. You can expect a fair amount of noise. The walls are thin and the students living in River Mill are known for throwing parties. But its a very social community and that's what's great about it. The apartments themselves are very spacious. I lived in a 2 bedroom 2 bath flat, huge living room, big kitchen. Lots of closet space in both bedrooms. Amenities aren't anything spectacular. There's a few treadmills and other cardio equipment in the fitness room. The pool area is big and pretty nice. Security is decent with a guard always on duty at night. The best part of River Mill is the location. You really save a lot of money on gas since its within walking distance from campus, Sanford stadium and downtown Athens. Its the best apartment for college if you really want to have a fun social college experience.
