I won't lie i heard all the rumors about how horrible Rivermill was but i finally experienced it first hand. Location is the only thing this place has going for it, but then a train company parked their train next to the apartment and it was illegal to walk across the tracks. Don't even think about having friend over because parking is a nightmare. There are limited vistors spots. When i say limited i mean like 10 for a 400 apartment complex. Many times the security gaurds would tell people to park in the uga lot and face fines because they would tow their car if they parked. It was not as if they did not have the spots they just rented them out to non-residents. As far as noise goes there were times i could not speak in my room because the apartment above ours had their air conditioning on. The apartment is old and smelly with appliances for the 80s with past residents food from the 90s. The cabinets are so bad on our apartment it is a joke. We had a leak in our apartment that last for months. The place is not even close to built to code. The studs in the walls are 25 inches from each other. The cable is through a company no one has ever heard of with the internet going out constantly. You have no choice with who you choose cable with because it is built into your rent (but not internet). With our whole experience of rivermill i know we wouldn't have moved back but to top it all off they are raising the rent next year by 32$ a month. It is like a slap in the face. They are not renovating inside or anything. We talked to some people who work or used to work for rivermill and the company is more concerned with the outside apperance than the residents. The outside matenience included roofing work that messed up parking and cause a lot of noise at 8 am.
