This place is so bad that I lived there for 2 weeks before I moved out and found another place. First of all, the management said they were going to clean the apartment, repaint, etc. before I moved in. When I got there, absolutely none of that had been done. The place was filthy. However, the real problem started when I went out of town for work the week after I moved in to Riverbend Club. When I got back, I found that two girls had subleased two of the rooms and moved in while I was gone. This wouldn't have been so bad had they not eaten all of my food, gone through my bedroom, completely trashed the kitchen, smoked pot in the apartment, and let creepy guys in at all hours.

You'd think that after letting people move in without even telling me, and with everything that happened while I was away, the management would have been somewhat sympathetic. Not at all. The same girls who were extremely friendly and helpful when I came looking for an apartment were now extremely rude, uncaring, and unhelpful. They basically told me it was my problem and I just had to live with it. Even though I was still subleasing from someone else, they would not throw out the lease I had signed for August. I found another (much better) apartment, but I am stuck paying rent for June and July in that garbage pit.

So, I would recommend that anyone looking for a place to live in Athens stay the hell away from Riverbend Club! Only after all this happened did I find out that the management does not do background or credit checks on anyone - half the time, they don't even know who is living on their property.

I would also recommend that you check out the place I moved to, The Exchange. It's a bit more expensive but so worth it! It's brand-new, safe, and all-around awesome!

you had to pay for both places- well you can fill out something against them with the better business bureau, bbb.org. one option is to fight for your money back, the bbb will open an investigation on your part and you could see some good outcomes. if you get no money then at least you know that you gave them a month worth of head ache- that might help! it only takes ten minutes to fill everything out and they do the rest of the work for you! lets show them they cannot be bullies
