Do yourself a favor now! If you're looking at this Riverbend Club Apartments to move into, DON'T! Just turn around, walk away and never look back. I know the cheaper rent is very appealing but you will be sorry and you'll pay in the end!

Please don't be fooled by the flowers, trees and other aspects of the nice landscaping. Living at Riverbend Club is a nightmare! These apartments are the pits!

Parking is horrible! There are a lot of spaces but they are so small that if you have to park between two cars, you can barely get out. Don't think that compact cars are exempt! I drive a compact car that now bares the proof of these tiny spots. It is now dented and dinged. The parking lot is very well lit; so well, that if your bedroom window faces the parking lot, you will need to buy some pretty thick curtains to block out the light!

Grounds crew will inevitably wake you up every Saturday morning as they blow the leaves from your stoop onto your clean car.

Maintenance is fast to come but rarely do they know how to fix the problem. One guy would even come to our apartment and just sit around when he didn't want to work!

Several break-ins! Several laptops and cameras stolen - even during the day!

This all, however, is tolerable compared to the move-out! I heard horror stories the whole time I lived there from former tenants. I just figured they did a bad job and deserved it - not so!

We painted our apartment the requested color but it was the wrong finish. We still had two days before we had to be out so we asked the property manager to come check it out. She said it "looked great and that she wished all the apartments were painted with a semi-gloss rather than a flat." Our apartment was spotless and when we did the inspection nothing was written on the form (not even the issue with the paint which we had brought to their attention two days earlier.) My roommates and I signed and dated the form thinking we had nothing to worry about since nothing was written down. A month later we all received bills for $28.33 for the finish being wrong even though we asked about it beforehand. Had they told us it was unacceptable we would have gotten another $13 can of paint and repainted it. Instead they charged a total of $113.32 for what we could have done for $13! When I called and asked about it, they said "we didn't notice it when we did the inspection" even though we had told them about it! They said they added the charge to our move out form later. They altered a legal document with legal signatures and dates on it. FORGERY! If they're just going to add things at their will then why did I even need to sign and date it in the first place'! We received no notice that they were altering the document, a bill just showed up in my mailbox and by the time it arrived, the deadline for disputes was weeks past! When we go the Owner of the properties on the phone, the property manager denied everything she said to us the day she came to check out our paint!

Live here if you dare! This apartment complex is sleazy and unethical. They do their best to take advantage of college students. Don't fall for their scam and sign their lease you will be sorry.

You should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I don't know if you ever paid them, but if you did, the BBB might be able to help you and your roommates get your money back. If nothing else, they keep a record of complaints about businesses, so people can check them out and see how awful they are. I ended up doing this when they screwed me over, and it helped me out. Just go to www.bbb.org. Good luck!
