Look, you get what you pay for in Athens. Tara is older, but its cheap, too. The office staff and maintenance staff work their butts off trying to keep up, but what can you expect' It's one of the oldest complexes in town. Noise isn't an issue from people while inside their apartments---it's the people who sit outside and scream at eachother than make it a nightmare. If you have good neighbors, you will have a good experience there. Super-cheap, and working on redoing a lot of problem areas. My apartment had new carpet, so I really liked it, but I don't know how others looked.
