Living at Aspen Apartments was horrible.

First, the A/C never worked properly (It leaked and instead of fixing it they just refilled it so it would work another week and then die again). Also, the vents were screwed up so half of the apartment didn't get any air or heat. We also had a recurring mouse problem and could hear every little sound our neighbors made. But that wasn't the worst...

Because of the individual leases, your roommates are free to sublease at their will...and with no input from you as to who will live with you. So, my roommate moved out and they let the new roommate move in unannounced during Christmas break, when no one was in our apartment. My friend hadn't even been notified to move her stuff out yet. So, the new roommate had access to all of our belongings, slept on and stained my friend's bed, violated our privacy, and wrecked the apartment. Aspen did nothing to remedy this. After moving back in after the break, we met the new roommate and found her to be very shady. She ruined and attempted to steal many of our belongings and never paid her portion of the bills, so she still owes us over $300. Aspen did nothing! They are the ones who gave her the key to our apartment and the opportunity to screw us out of so much, but they did nothing to repay us for our troubles and financial burdens. They completely took advantage of us.
