I moved to Athens, GA from Austin, TX as I was going to start my life as a graduate student at UGA. Naturally, moving 1000 miles had the side affect of only having one weekend to apartment search, so the pressure was on. After looking at numerous apartments in the city, I stumbled upon Paces. The office staff was extremely polite and spent a long time talking to me and showing the floorplan I was interested in. I was hooked. The next day I came back and put in an application.

I've now lived here for a year and do not regret my decision one bit. It *is* on the pricier end of things, but its completely worth it in safety, office staff, maintenance, and lack of noise. Most people I've talked to don't even know there's an apartment complex behind the condos, duplexes and houses! The office staff is always extremely friendly and any maintenance calls get fixed within the day. During the winter, a pipe burst in an apartment below me, and I saw the maintenance crew out there working on it well past midnight in temperatures well below freezing!

It's extremely quiet, and most tenants are grad, law, and med students themselves, so there's none of the "undergrad party scene" going on. Even gamedays are quiet around here! But it's still less than a 10 minute drive to campus and close to a bus route if you'd prefer not to drive.
