I'd like to say, I lived here many years ago when it was College Place, I recently moved back here in November. I now have 2 fairly young children and I am fine with living here with them.

I wanted to address a few issues that i've read.

The one that stuck out the most would have to be the tree from Thanksgiving last yr. I was there when the tree fell, no not in the building it fell on but on the property, and when the tree fell and maitenance was called they responded very quickly. Yes, it took SEVERAL hours to find someone who would leave their family @ 11 am Thanksgiving afternoon to come cut it down, however the gentleman that was on call did just what he had to do to find someone. The police were called and arrived swiftly. As well the on call guy relocated anyone in any of the apartments that were damaged. He remained there until the job was completely done, to include climbing on the roof and tarping it. As for how long it took to get a company to come out and fix the damages, that is a corporate office thing and i will agree that the corporate office isn't so good at being on top of things as they should be.

My next response would have to be to those complaining about the roach issues.... yep... they are here. We see em... this IS an old community.... you can PLAINLY see this when you come to chk it out to rent. If you had the chance, like I have, to go into some of the units here... you will see WHY there is a roach issue. There ARE some REALLY nasty folks around... but to be honest, I've seen the same in a community where I lived that was BRAND NEW! So if you live here and you have a roach issue, instead of complaining to the people who CAN'T do something about it, complain to the ones who CAN, your neighbor! Do not call the office to complain about roaches when half the time your the folks bringing them in here!

As for security, we have an amazing Courtsey officer here ont he property, unfortunatly he isn't paid to do his job here, he does it as a favor to the community and thus he does have a job he must go to daily. I have in fact needed him in the past and when i tell you he responded quickly I am not exaggerating at all.

There are ALOT Of children in this neighborhood, alot of the parents do not care to mind their children so there are alot of times when you will see them or hear them outside playing, yelling, sometimes even fighting (verbally) with one another. They are kids it happens!

And now... on to the maitenance staff, there HAVE been some EXTREMELY lazy men workign here in the past... those have been weeded out and replaced with med who do the work they are given to do. If you have called in a complaint about something and he hasnt been tended to do not ASSUME it is because these guys are lazy.... 9 times out of 10 it is because they were never notified that there was a problem.

This IS a good place to be... not great, i do not intend to live here forever, but for the time being it works just fine.

Remember no matter where you go there will ALWAYS be issues....
