Wow - I've been here for a couple years and this place has gone down QUICK. I'd move out today if I hadn't signed a lease. All the negative points listed here are true - definitely true. Management turns a blind eye to problems time and time again. Amenities are not kept up - fitness room is a JOKE, pool equipment not so nice and pool itself is run down. The gates often do not work at all. And worst of all - the office staff is terribly, terribly rude.

preface- I don't live here, nor work here, but I am in the apartment industry. I am out to respond to the negative reviews in a way that most of the apartment staff everywhere would like to respond. Because of thier obligation to professionalism, they cannot say what they think, without getting in trouble. Well, I can. If you are at a professionally managed community, management NEVER "turns a blind eye" to anything. At every community EVERYWHERE- there is this restriction called a budget. Every month, certain things that cost money have a limit. If there wasn't a limit, every community everywhere would look brand new all the time. Mntc. staff checks pool chemical levels EVERY day. If there is only one or two mntc. staff, you cannot possibly expect them to dedicate the time every day to just clean the pool. if the chemical levels are good and there isn't any major debris, the pool is fine. Would you rather have new pool equipment or a new fridge, new flooring, or new carpet? As for gates, if a community has gates, there is bound to be problems with it at some point. Sometimes, the problems continue to occur or it cannot be figured out the first time. Do you know how to fix them? Then fix it. Otherwise, know that management wants those gates closed just as much as you do. If you think they should "just replace them"- you get the bids on the cost of "just relacing them" and see if you don't try fixing them first. "For as much rent as I pay...." blah blah blah. Would you make the same complaint to your mortgage company if you owned a home? "For as much money I pay for my home....". What you pay for your home has NOTHING to do with anything except paying the monthly mortgage on the place and creating just enough income to maintain the community. If you wanted everything replaced at everyone's whimsical request- your rent amount would SKYROCKET! As for the behavior of the office staff- they're not rude unless you're rude first. They do not have to tolerate abusive remarks and language from anyone. If you want to complain about them, then you should figure out how to contact the corporate office.
