I caution anyone who considers living at Alta West. It is very unsafe and the management staff and owners (Archstone)will not address your concerns. They will tell you that anything you read here is a result of disgruntled residents or residents who have had problems on their own accord. Drugs are present and continue to be a problem. Dealing is an issue but management will deny this or instruct residents to manage, call the police, etc. The apartments are great spaces but living there is a true nightmare. An Atlanta Falcons cheerleader was found dead in her apartment as a result of a drug overdose. This was confirmed recently in the AJC. Management did not even address the situation at the time and left residents to draw conclusions based on rumors or what now is actual fact. Seeing a body bag being pulled out of the front entrance is scarey. The owners and management expect residents to manage the place themselves but when concerns are brought up they say they cannot do anything or dismiss you like you are the problem. My lease is up soon and I cannot wait. I feel sorry for anyone who chooses to live there or continues to live at Alta West.
