fire alarms keep going off. on-site maintenance guy doesn't answer emergency calls after hours when fire alarm blares at 2am until 4am. parking deck is very close to apts and car alarms are known to go for HOURS. communtiy is awful at actually throwing their trash down the chute, so it sits in the trash room festering until you want to toss your trash.

management has LOST 1 of my packages delivered with over $100 worth of rare clothing. when asked about it, said they were doing me a courtesy by taking my deliveries for me in the office. packages are very often delivered, but no notices are given to me that they're down there. so they sit while i wait and wait until i call the office and OOPS it's been there all the while. as far as i know, no disciplinary actions were taken on the otherwise kind community manager who lost track of my delivery b/c of a personal phone call she was on while the delivery guy handed off the package. it was signed for by her, so the company from whom i ordered would not send another order.

chow baby is below the complex. the people that eat there are total idiots when it comes to figuring out how to get their cars to the valet driver, so expect frustration after a long day of work when all you want is to get into the parking deck.

small children whose parents do NOT live in the complex often frequent the pool in a loud and screaming manner. if you live in any of the lofts facing the courtyard, be warned that the screaming shrills bounce off the buildings and right into your loft. the parents of said children are often drinking beer in front of their children in an unattentive manner.

work orders will not be taken care of or responded to in under 24 hrs as promised in their "guarantee." when i called archstone properties to ask them what the "guarantee" was, i was told "they will respond to your work order in 24 hrs or less, or else you can talk to the management." if that answer and all of the above sound like heaven to you, move on in. hell. take my studio off my hands, please.

oh, yeah. and dog crap everywhere. and flies. and pidgeons. major issue there. don't live on the first or sixth floors unless you have an affinity for bird crap.

one more thing. when i moved in, there was a totally different management group handling the complex. there were mainly artists and hot strippers living there. now that there's been a change of hands in management (one of them calls me by the wrong name even though she sees me quite often) a new set of people are moving in. trailer trash, ghetto thugs, and gross strippers. eugh.

if management paid some honest attention to the real issues facing this complex, this place could really shape up. it's sad that this place has literally gone to ----.
