I've been at 1016 for about 2 years. Nice apartments, but most of the negative comments about community are unfortunately pretty accurate. I've leased 4 different apartmens since i've been here; 2 of the 4 were left with overpowering pet odor, one I had to move out of because of it. The apartment i'm in now wasn't even mopped before i moved in. I had to clean it 3 times over myself and each time I emptied the bucket it was disgustingly BLACK! I've been able to tolerate it though in order to stay close to work. I would actually rather suffer a lot of the unbareable factors of living here than sit in traffic. The community all around here, not just in the complex, is pretty crappy; so what can ya do. The thug problem is definately worsening though. I'm equally annoyed by all the noise, trash, poop, bad smells, idiots, unresponsive maintenance and such. I'm looking at a lot of these people in the complex and wondering who in their right mind would approve them for a lease; not to be judgemental...it's just that bad. I've had a package stolen from my door as well, but I guess that's not too surprising considering the area. At least my car hasn't been broken into yet...*knock on wood*.

Otherwise, it's all good. Most of my maintenance calls do get answered relatively quickly; they just don't necessarily care about the quality of their work. Space is pretty good, concrete helps what would be unbareable volumes of noise, can't beat convenience and the apartments themselves (when not ruined by neglegent tenants) are pretty nice.

Don't rent here unless you get a really good deal, and just be sure you're prepared for pretty much everthing stated in these comments. Where you are in the complex determines a lot of what you'll have to put up with.
