I moved into 1660 Peachtree in 1999 before the 6th and 7th building interiors were even completed and was probably one of the first 50 - 100 to move in. Overall my experience at 1660 was great. The only reason we left is because we bought a house.

There was a horrible turn over rate in the front office (I lived there much longer than anyone other than the maintenance workers worked there), and some of the office employees were helpful, and some weren't. The biggest problem with the front office was picking up packages, I would recommend you have them shipped to your office or track them online so you know exactly when they come in.

The maintenance workers were always top-notch.

The parking garage became a HUGE hazard, multiple times major work was done on it, yet chunks continued to fall apart. We used to joke that we just hoped we weren't home when it came crashing down. I was told at the beginning of our living at 1660 that a separate company owned the parking garage and that Lincoln Property Company was not responsible for its maintenance'

Noise from the highway and Amtrak station were never a problem. I lived in 3 separate apartments over the duration I was there (2 bdrm to a 1 bdrm and back to a 2 bdrm) in the 5th and 6th buildings. Our last apartment was at the very end facing the interstate and you barely heard it, almost as soothing as the ocean to me, seriously. You get used to the train whistle, after a week or so, it never woke me up.

We only had neighbor problems (noise) once and we simply called the police who shut their parties down. The front office than made them apologize to all of their neighbors. Beware, 1660 (at least was in the beginning) Title IX housing (or something like that) meaning that they are required to rent a certain number of apartments to those in lower socieconomic groups for greatly reduced rent. There were a few odd ones because of that.

All in all, I would highly recommend 1660 Peachtree to anyone. I am convince it is the single BEST location in the entire city, you are in the middle and 5 min. from anything you could want.
