As a resident for the last 4 years, three different units and counting, it's amazing at some of the negative reviews...no one made YOU rent here! The location is great, and yes, it's next to the train station, but it was there when YOU were shown the apartment, let alone came to the location, right'! More so, as with any businesses, there are turnovers, promotions, demotions, issues and some untimely events, and as tenants, we deal with them to the best of our abilities.
Kudos to the maintenance team, I'm their number one fan! It's a blessing that we have on-call service, before and after hours, and they are always possessed with great and friendly services. Remember, there is more than just "your" unit here. Keep up the great job M, S & R!
As for the sanitation and parking issues, it's not the leasing office fault; some tenants choose to be lazy and dumped their garbage anywhere but the proper place. Newsflash'the garbage cans by the mailboxes and ashtrays are not for your garbage! As for the parking, first come, first serve, it's only fair, and it wouldn't be so noisy if people would stop driving like they are in the darn Indy 500!
In regards to the leasing office, it gets better in time. I've been through a few Business/Property Managers and leasing agents, and have been overly catered to, through the good and bad. Currently, with the 3 people doing 6 people positions, they are doing a great job and I'll continue to support them, the old, new and the future. I have yet to see any of them take a lunch or tell a tenant no, and we speak not only from vast personal experiences, but from many other tenants as well.
Last but not least, the market rate could be a little better, but it's worth the location and amenities. Speaking of amenities, I've noticed with the good and bad opinions, no one has said anything about the 'extra' personal services available, FREE package deliverance, FREE breakfasts, social and community events that provide FREE food and drinks, and other FREE services, which 'us' tenants are not charged for!
1660 makes it simple but in the guidelines to rent or terminate, so to reiterate my most important point, you don't have to live here, there are plenty of other apartments around. That way, it will leave more space for us satisfied tenants to refer our friends and families and don't have to deal with those aggravating and constant complaining neighbors.
