NEW MANAGEMENT SUCKS!

Yeah, "Free Rent" and "We'll Pay Your Moving Costs" signs abound, but stop and ask yourself why they're so desperate to get new people in there: it's because they've run everybody else off!!!

A new leasing company by the name of Equity came in and kicked the old Lincoln Properties guys out in the middle of September. The Lincoln folks were extremely friendly, upbeat and professional. All sorts of requests were accommodated, such as requesting to be present when maintenance came in. I heard someone even checked mail and plants when a resident was hospitalized.

In the name of saving costs the crew at Equity showed up with no experience, no sophistication and no manners. They look like they just moved in from the sticks. It is nothing new to walk in and hear the new Property Manager (oh how she LOVES to throw that title around) yelling at a resident. "No!" is the only thing they seem to know how to say; they've completely forgotten that this is a CUSTOMER oriented environment and typically pissing residents off is not a good way to build occupancy rates. Yes, there is a courtesy officer on site, however, it seems that he'll have his hands full dealing with the scum that like to churn and burn Free Rent apartments.

The garage is falling apart now, the skeleton maintenance crew can usually be found walking the property with a personal cell phone in one hand and a cigarette in the other. The losers even have a golf cart in which to putz around - the old guys never needed it. Trash is allowed to pile up in the chutes and dumpster every weekend and by Saturday afternoon this once cool property on the border of Buckhead and Midtown smells more like the Bankhead Landfill. The kinds of residents being lured in are not the same urban professionals of times past - one look at the parking deck shows most people don't work during the day and it is not surprising to find cars up on jacks or covered with dust from disuse.

Stay away! As more and more people flock in for Free Rent, expect crime rates to go up and for there to be more mayhem. You'd be better off moving into The Darlington!
