Make this your last resort

I've moved in to 1660 in mid- December, apparently right after they got new management. Though I got a good deal (less than $700 for a 1 bedroom) and a great location, I would gladly pay more for better service and attention to detail. My most recent experience was a rather snotty letter from management about a package that'd been in the leasing office for a while. I was told that I needed to pick it up by the end of the week. After going to the leasing office 4x during normal office hours (which required some effort on my part; I work abnormal hours) and finding it closed, turned out there was actually no package there for me after all. This has been typical of my experience at 1660. The noise (from both tenants, Amtrak and normal Peachtree activity) and poor security (hey, it is Midtown) doesn't bother me nearly as much as poor management. I'd conclude by saying that, if you have a list of possible rentals, only settle on 1660 as the last resort. I myself have no plans to renew this year.
