Reconsider if thinking of moving to 450 Piedmont

Since my transfer to Atlanta and subsequent lease at 450 Piedmont, I have witnessed 2 home invasions, a double shooting and homicide, and now a large narcotics bust.
The management office will comfort you with expressed security and tenant retention rates, but don't be fooled.
This is a nice complex mixed into a very tansient community.
The main entrance is on Piedmont avenue, this is so you won't see the food shelter located DIRECTLY across the street from the rear entrance on courtland avenue.
If the leasing office describes the ease in which you can walk to nearby stores, they should include an application for a Georgia Concealed Weapons Permit to get there.
The vast quantities of homeless and transients that you will have to travers in order to get to these stores will have you fatigued by the panhandling and scared for your life.
I do not plan on renewing my lease here and am in the process of getting myself and family as far from there as possible.
It is my belief that this community prays on the out-of-town transplants' lack of knowledge to keep the occupancy rates high.
