Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005
I've lived at 450 Piedmont from August 2002 to May 2005.
I would renew my lease, but I am moving from Atlanta.
I've enjoyed living here.
Pros:
1.
My rent never increased.
2.
Pretty quiet.
It is downtown, and it is 5 minutes from Grady Memorial Hospital, bu it's quiet.
I rarely hear any noise from my neighbors.
3.
Nice staff.
Both leasing consultants and maintenance staff are very cordial.
Maintenance requests are generally filled within 48 hours.
There is a monthly newsletter for tenants, and updates are done in flyer format.
4.
Location- right in the heart of midtown/downton.
Buckhead is about 10 minutes away.
The Atlanta Civic Center is right across the street.
5.
Fitness Center- It's a bit small, but it's fine for the occassional work out when you don't want to go to the gym.
Cons:
1.
Parking- There is limited guest parking- maybe 15 spaces out in front of the leasing office.
2.
Crime- Last year there was a murder/homicide, and a couple of drug busts.
Nothing you can do about this.
However, I personally never felt unsafe.
There have been good and bad, but if I had to do it all over again, I would still have moved here.
It is much quieter than I had anticipated, and most of the neighbors are pretty nice.
