We had one day to find a place and move, and we found the Avalon. 1300 sq ft for $750/month, not bad. But we had problems with hot/cold water, squeaky floors and ceilings, etc. I was disappointed and thought about breaking the lease. But then the new apartment manager, Michelle, came in. She's doing a fantastic job--there's not much that can be done about the construction of the buildings. But she's painting all the buildings, she's redone the entire clubhouse making it available to rent out, got all new pool furniture, done great things overall. And I've only had good experiences with the maintenance guys. They also come fix my problems as soon as I mention it to them.

The main problem we have is our neighbors above us don't sleep until very late, and because the floors squeak, it keeps us awake. But we'll move to a townhome to fix that problem.

I think the complaints in this review are from people who didn't expect very much. I've seen that you get treated how you treat them. Be nice and courteous, and things get done. The property is beautiful--very wooded and quiet, misty in the mornings, and beautiful to go running with the dog. Right next to 285 and 400. I love this place. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
