I lived here for a couple of years and witnessed the change of ownership. Both management groups weren't really that great and had some rather stupid employees but before they were generally professional. Now its the exact opposite - there are one or two intelligent employees but the management is dominated by uppity human trash. I heard tell that the new property manager basically was the wife of the owner, and she frequently complains about her job.

The new people handled maintenance issues fairly well at first, probably being all gung ho about their new investment. But as began to sink in that they had bought a 30 yr old apt complex and that maintenance issues were going to continue basically nonstop I believe they began to falter a bit on this.

The place basically looks like a 30 yr old apartment complex, which is why the rent is about half that of the nearby metropolitan gables which has granite counter tops and makes you feel like you are rich and successful living there. The pool is covered by trees and an old looking black metal fence. The asphalt and the concrete all look pretty worn. There are some basic plant and bush formations but again it's an old place and there is a lot of erosion and crabgrass - amidst frequent piles of dog feces.

Bottom line the rent is much cheaper than anything else nearby, and while it used to be a semi luxurious (large sq ft. apts) fairly well maintained complex it is changing more into a minimum budget type place.

This means that not only is it not going to be as nice as other places in the area, there are going to be minorities and people who survive on lesser incomes and maturity levels living here. If your the type of person who is easily intimidated or who needs a beautiful outdoor environment to come home to you shouldn't live here. But if you are a strong individual looking for a good deal on rent for a while and might want a gym or pool for functional purposes it might suit your needs.
