I have never lived in an apartment with as many problems as The Avalon. If you are considering these apartments....DON'T!!! We moved in March of 2002 and have continuosly had problems with the place. During the first month that we moved in the Heat/AC quit working and the toilet started leaking. We called the office and reported this numerous times during the 7 months that we lived there and the toilet was never repaired. AC would be fixed and work for a few days and break again. This happened over 10 times and as of the day we moved out the AC still did not work. We decided to break our lease as the management was not holding up to their contract. They still tryed to make us pay the $875.00 to break the lease. We are still in negotiations with them and might have to take this to a lawyer. The managment does not have a clue what is going on. There has been a high turnover rate with the people working in the office in the past 7 months that we have lived there. The apartments are old so they do have a lot of problems. But if you can't get maintence to fix the problems it makes very unsatisfactory living conditions, which the management did not understand why we were so upset that we have went without AC for the majority of the summer. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for an apartment!!!!
